50 Bones Records - Home of Little Boots, The Shoes and We Have Band, 50 Bones are leading the way in the dancepop world.

They will be using their presence at Hinterland 2009 to encourage collaborations and unique performances and most importantly they want to see you on the dance floor.

1965 RECORDS – Formed in 2006, the label is the baby of  Raf Rundell and James Endeacott (formerly of Rough Trade Records), who first signed The Libertines and The Strokes.  Now the label looks after The Draytones, The Metros and Toddla T but is best known for signing Dundee four piece The View.

A forward thinking, artist friendly record label with no regard for genre or hype. 65 just does what feels good.  “We jumped at the chance to get involved, we’ve always loved Glasgow”, says Raf.

A BADGE OF FRIENDSHIP – are gig promoters and DJs based in good old London town. They have been around since 2005 and have had the fortune of doing some really great shows with bands like Hell is for Heroes, The Twilight Sad and Enablers to name but a few.

ABoF have  DJ-ed their own successful run of club nights at The Fly (featuring regularly as Kerrang! Magazine's Club Night of the Week) as well as Rock Sound's 100th Birthday Bash and the Kerrang! Awards Aftershow. They spin a mixed bag of musical treats from classic, fist-in-the-air, 80s anthems to jaggy, alternative knee-jerking rock...

ABoF also provide print and online PR services to bands and record labels. They are believers in pushing good music to the great masses and it's their mission to try and put new bands on the map and help labels find their voice.

TAM COYLE - Tam Coyle started promoting gigs in 1982 (his first show on 01/11/82 featured the debut performance of Primal Scream) and by the mid eighties he was promoting most of the C86 bands specialising in the holy trio of 4AD/Creation/Factory records.  Tam was finally offered a full time job in the industry as an in-house booker at a new, purpose built venue called KTWWH (King Tuts) which opened in February 1990 and from there went into artist management.  Tam started DJ'ing in the legendary Night Moves in 1982 and has worked at most of the main venues in Glasgow over the years with highlights including the seminal Kes Club at Rooftop, Hypnotonic at Fury Murrys and Tribeca at The Champion as well as his annual sets at T In The Park, Death Disco with Alan McGee in various countries over the last few years and Glasgow's Hogmanay bash at George Square

GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART – Founded in 1845, The Glasgow School of Art is one of the few remaining independent art schools in the UK and has occupied its present site in the heart of Glasgow since 1899.  At the heart of the campus is the renowned Mackintosh Building.  One of the iconic buildings of the 20th century, the Mackintosh Building was designed by GSA alumnus and one of history’s most influential designers, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.  Mackintosh is just one of a number of innovative, creative artists, designers and architects who have benefitted from their time at the GSA.  Design Week lists the GSA in its ‘Hot 50’ – leaders in design education.  The School has produced two Turner Prize winners, three Beck’s Futures Winners and virtually all the artists chosen to represent Scotland at the Venice Biennale since 2003.  Alumni include Gareth Hoskins, Louise Gray, Simon Starling, Alison Watt, Douglas Gordon, Robert Hardy, David Shrigley, Jim Lambie, and this year’s hotly tipped Turner Prize shortlisted artist Cathy Wilkes.

The Art School has long been considered one of Glasgow’s most exciting venues, regularly hosting some of the world’s most respected DJs and live acts. In the past year alone guests have included Autechre, Modeselektor, Clark, Benga, Skream, Midnight Juggernauts and The Bug. As well as hosting student run events we have a diverse program of regular club nights, most notably our infamous Thursday night party hosted by RPZ and Mixed Bizness. More than just a Union, with two gallery spaces and a rehearsal room, it is a platform for student creativity and plays a central role in Glasgow’s creative scene.
